Gruffin Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This policy covers Gruffin desktop software, its connected backend, and the sales website at thegruffin.com. The service is offered under the Gruffin business name. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to gruffin@chumscustomremodel.com.
Information we process
The desktop app stores account settings, local inventory and sales records, and connection settings on your Windows profile. Connected services process workspace identifiers, user identifiers, marketplace authorization tokens and account details, subscription and payment-provider identifiers, plan status, usage counters, and operational records needed to provide the service.
Features you use may send listing content, photographs, product details, sales or checkout information, and AI prompts to Gruffin’s backend and the relevant provider. eBay integrations retrieve seller listings, orders, and buyer information needed for selling workflows. Support requests include information you choose to send. Website and backend requests may produce technical records such as IP addresses, request times, and error logs.
How information is used
We use information to provide requested features, maintain connections, administer subscriptions, process support and refund requests, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors. Local inventory remains on your computer unless a feature sends selected information to a connected service. The app’s local account is separate from a Stripe customer or website account.
Service providers
We use Microsoft Azure for the connected backend and Namecheap EasyWP/WordPress for the sales website. Stripe handles subscription checkout and supported card-payment workflows; eBay provides marketplace services. AI-assisted features may send the content you submit to Anthropic. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies. Gruffin does not ask you to send full card details to support; enter payment details only into the payment provider’s checkout.
Do not include passwords, private API keys, unrelated buyer information, or other unnecessary sensitive information in AI prompts, photographs, or support messages. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where a provider operates.
Website cookies
The WordPress website may use cookies for login, security, consent choices, and shopping or account features. Any additional cookie categories identified by the website’s consent controls can be managed there. Your browser also provides cookie controls. Provider checkout pages have their own cookie policies.
Retention and choices
Local records remain on your device until you remove them. Uninstalling Gruffin preserves local inventory and settings so that reinstalling does not erase your work. Hosted connection, billing, usage, support, and technical records are retained as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Temporary upload access can expire even when an uploaded file remains stored; expiration of a link should not be treated as confirmation of deletion.
You can disconnect integrations in Settings and revoke Gruffin’s authorization with the provider. Disconnecting an integration does not cancel a subscription. To request access, correction, or deletion of information held by Gruffin, email support. We may verify your ownership before responding and may retain records where legally required. Stripe and eBay retain their own records independently.
Security and children
We use HTTPS connections and access checks for hosted services. No system can guarantee perfect security; protect your Windows account, connected accounts, and backups. Gruffin is business software and is not intended for children.
Updates and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and identify the revised date. Contact gruffin@chumscustomremodel.com for privacy requests.
